Prof. Dr. Ari George Chacko graduated from Christian Medical College Vellore, India in 1985. He began his 5-years Post graduate training program in Neurosurgery at CMC Vellore, India in 1989 and obtained the (M Ch.) degree in 1994. Since then he has been working in the department of Neurosurgery, CMCH, Vellore and was designated as a Professor of the said department in 2003. He also spent 3 months for training in Base of Skull surgery in Hannover, Germany and 2 years in USA as a Research Associate, Department of Neurosurgery, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas, USA till 1999.
The collective experience over the last 30 years has given him the chance to participate in numerous complex neurosurgical procedures, particularly in brain and spinal tumors, congenital brain and spinal disorders, cervical spondylotic myelopathy, pituitary tumors and head injuries. He is proficient in the use of endoscopy in neurosurgery and has special interest on Pituitary and craniopharyngioma surgery, Endoscopic base of skull surgery, Vestibular schwannomas, Epilepsy surgery, Eloquent area gliomas, Intramedullary spinal cord tumors. He has published about hundred articles in International journals and has presented papers at national and international levels.
He joins Square Hospital as a highly skilled Senior Consultant, Neurosurgery.
